LINK · ADULT BETA
Terms of Service
Effective date: October 11, 2026 | Last updated: October 16, 2026
Beta Privacy Policy · Proposed future Privacy Policy
1. Who we are and how these Terms apply
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between you and AndromedaX, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). They cover the Link language-learning application for iOS and Android (the "App"), our website at linklanguages.win, and related services we provide (together, the "Services").
Operator: AndromedaX, LLC. Mailing address: 23860 Greenlawn Ave., Beachwood, OH 44122. Support and service complaints: [email protected]. Legal notices and claims: [email protected]. Privacy requests: [email protected].
You agree to these Terms when you select an acceptance control that links to them or otherwise validly accept them under applicable law. Do not use the Services if you do not agree. Specific purchase terms disclosed before checkout also apply. Section 17 explains how these Terms interact with Apple’s app license.
2. Eligibility
The Link beta is available only to adults aged 18 and over in the United States. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. People under 18 may not use the beta, including through a parent’s or another adult’s account or with parental permission.
An app-store content rating does not replace these eligibility requirements. A proposed future privacy policy does not change who may use the current beta.
3. Learning services and device requirements
Link provides language-learning activities and practice. The languages, lessons, conversation features, and limits available to you are those described in the App and, for paid features, in the offer you select. We do not promise a particular level of fluency, test result, or rate of progress. Practice scores, levels, streaks, and badges, where offered, are not accredited qualifications, money, or transferable property.
You need a compatible device and supported software. Some functions may require internet access, additional downloads, storage, or device permissions. You are responsible for your device and connection charges. We will disclose material compatibility requirements and usage limits before purchase. Do not use interactive or speaking features while driving or in another situation where they would distract you from safety.
4. AI conversations and speech features
Where a feature is identified as AI-powered, its responses are generated by software, not a live teacher or a real person portrayed in a practice scenario. A simulated conversation does not place an order, make a reservation, buy a ticket, or take another real-world action.
Speech recognition, translations, pronunciation feedback, and AI responses can be incorrect or unsuitable for a particular context. Review important information rather than relying on a practice response as authoritative. The Services are for language learning, not emergency assistance or medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights or remedies that cannot be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
Use your own voice or recordings you are authorized to submit, and avoid unnecessary sensitive information. Report an unsafe or offensive AI response by emailing [email protected]. Include the exercise and response, or a screenshot, if available, without unnecessary personal information. See the Privacy Policy for processing locations, storage, and any model-training use.
5. Privacy and your content
Our Privacy Policy at linklanguages.win/privacy-beta explains how information is handled, including speech, practice conversations, technical information, retention, and deletion. Accepting these Terms does not itself grant optional privacy permissions or replace a consent that must be obtained separately.
You keep any intellectual-property rights you hold in the text, recordings, and other material you submit ("Your Content"). You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to process Your Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the functions you request, including recognizing speech, generating practice responses, and handling support requests. We may allow service providers acting for us to exercise that permission only for those purposes and subject to the Privacy Policy. This permission lasts only as needed for those purposes, including the limited retention described in that policy.
This content license does not authorize advertising use, public promotion of your recordings, or general-purpose model training. Any separate use must have its own applicable legal basis and notices and, where required, your consent. Our data practices remain those described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Accounts, progress, and deletion
Link requires an account. Provide accurate registration information, safeguard your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or use an account without permission. You are not responsible for unauthorized activity to the extent it results from our failure to meet our obligations.
Learning information stored only on your device may be unavailable after a device change, reset, or removal of app data unless a supported backup or synchronization feature preserves it. The App’s actual storage and deletion behavior is explained in the Privacy Policy.
To request account deletion, email [email protected]. You can also use Settings > Delete Account in versions of the App that offer that control. See the account-deletion section of the Beta Privacy Policy for verification, deletion timing, and any lawful retention. Account deletion is permanent. We do not send marketing email during the beta. If that changes, every marketing email will carry an unsubscribe link.
Do not assume that deleting the App, an account, or its data cancels a subscription. Check the billing provider’s subscription controls and use Section 9 to stop renewal. Deletion does not waive refund rights. We do not require you to wait for a subscription to expire before requesting account deletion.
7. App license and intellectual property
Subject to these Terms and the applicable store rules, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control for personal language learning. Store-authorized sharing and mandatory statutory rights remain available. Access to subscription features lasts for the paid or promotional access period. The App is licensed, not sold.
Except for Your Content and third-party material, we or our licensors hold the rights in the App, lesson materials, software, branding, illustrations, and other protected content. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit them without permission. You may use practice responses supplied to you for lawful personal learning; that does not transfer rights in the underlying App or materials, and similar AI responses may be supplied to others.
Open-source software, model weights, and other components supplied under separate licenses remain governed by those licenses. These Terms do not restrict rights those licenses or applicable law give you.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use the Services to break the law or infringe another person’s rights; submit material you have no right to use; impersonate or defraud someone; harass, threaten, or abuse others; or distribute private information without authorization.
Do not submit or seek content that sexually exploits or endangers children, promotes terrorism or serious violence, encourages self-harm, or constitutes unlawful hate or abuse. Do not intentionally bypass safeguards to generate prohibited content. These restrictions apply to prompts and recordings as well as any sharing features.
Do not introduce malware, disrupt the Services, access another user’s data without permission, evade payment or access controls, or use automated extraction that interferes with the Services. Do not reverse-engineer or copy protected software except where applicable law or a component’s license permits it. These restrictions do not prohibit lawful security research, accessibility tools, or other legally protected activity.
Report suspected misuse to [email protected]. Send infringement notices and other legal claims to [email protected].
9. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds
Current beta. Link is free during early access. Pricing for a future paid service has not been finalized. Joining the beta does not authorize a future charge or automatically enroll you in a paid subscription. The provisions below apply only if you later choose a paid offering.
Purchase terms. This section applies only to paid offerings you choose. Before purchase, the checkout identifies the price, currency, applicable taxes, included features, duration, billing frequency, and any trial or introductory terms. You must be authorized to use the payment method. Charges are processed through the billing channel identified at checkout.
Renewal and trials. An offer identified as auto-renewing continues for successive billing periods, and the disclosed renewal price is charged through your selected billing channel, unless you cancel before the applicable renewal deadline. A trial converts to paid access only on the terms disclosed when you sign up. A fixed-term, non-renewing purchase does not renew automatically.
Apple-billed subscriptions. Use iPhone or iPad Settings, open your Apple Account, select Subscriptions, and select Link; then choose the cancellation option. Follow the Apple subscription-cancellation instructions for current instructions. For an Apple trial you do not wish to renew, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, subject to any different rights that apply in your region.
Google Play-billed subscriptions. Open the Google Play subscription-management page using the purchasing Google Account, select Link, and follow the cancellation steps. Cancel before renewal to avoid the next recurring charge. For an ordinary recurring subscription, paid access generally continues to the end of the current period unless a refund or applicable local rule provides otherwise.
Other billing and assistance. Where another checkout is offered, use the cancellation method disclosed there or contact the seller identified on your receipt. Contact [email protected] for help identifying the correct route. The billing channel, not the type of phone you are currently using, determines how you manage a purchase.
Refunds. We honor applicable consumer refund rights, relevant store refund policies, and any refund promise in the offer. For Apple purchases, use the Apple refund-request page; for Google Play purchases, use the Google Play refund instructions or contact us. Cancellation ordinarily stops renewal rather than automatically refunding the current period. Outside applicable rights and disclosed commitments, we do not promise a discretionary refund for unused subscription time. Nothing here makes a store’s refusal conclusive where you have a legal claim against us.
Changes and restoration. Price changes apply prospectively after the notice and any consent required by law and the billing provider. You may cancel before a changed renewal price applies. Eligible purchases can be restored using the purchasing account and the App’s restore or sign-in controls. Any cross-platform access or sharing entitlement is determined by the offer and applicable store rules; these Terms do not reduce those rights.
Consumer protections. Mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, digital-content quality, and other consumer rights remain intact. Using or downloading the App does not, by itself, waive a statutory cooling-off right. Any legally effective request for immediate supply or acknowledgement about withdrawal must be handled through the applicable purchase process.
10. Third-party services
App stores, sign-in services, and other third-party services may have terms that govern your separate relationship with them. You must comply with applicable third-party agreements when using the App, including your device and network-service agreements. We will identify any additional terms that you must accept for an optional feature before you use it.
A link does not mean we endorse every statement on an external site. However, this section does not remove our responsibility for the Services, our chosen service providers, or any obligation that law places on us.
11. Service changes, suspension, and termination
We may update the Services to fix errors, improve security, meet legal requirements, or change functionality. We will give reasonable advance notice of a change that materially reduces paid functionality, except where urgent action is justified. We will preserve access already purchased or provide the replacement, cancellation, refund, or other remedy required by the offer and applicable law.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, a security or safety risk, or a legal requirement. When lawful and practical, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to correct a remediable breach. Contact [email protected] to ask for review. We will not restrict you for making a lawful complaint or exercising privacy or consumer rights.
You may stop using the Services at any time. If we permanently discontinue paid services or end your paid access without a material breach by you, we will arrange to stop future billing and refund prepaid amounts for the unavailable period, through the relevant billing channel where needed. Applicable rights may provide additional remedies. A suspension does not itself authorize continued charging for an unavailable service.
On termination, access ends only to the extent permitted by your purchase, store-license rights, and law. Any enduring app-license rights required by a store are preserved. Provisions that need to continue to resolve prior obligations or disputes remain effective; Your Content is retained only as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Service standards and limitations
We will provide the Services with the care and skill required by applicable law and honor descriptions and commitments that form part of your purchase. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every exercise or AI response will be error-free. Report a problem to [email protected] so we can investigate.
For U.S. users, where legally permitted and without overriding an express commitment or mandatory right, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without additional implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This disclaimer does not apply to any warranty or quality obligation that cannot legally be excluded. Section 17 separately addresses Apple’s warranty role.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Mandatory consumer remedies, privacy rights, and our express refund obligations are preserved.
For U.S. users only, and subject to the preceding paragraph, where the law allows it, we are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses, and our total aggregate liability arising from the Services is limited to US $50.
For users outside the U.S., the preceding U.S. limitation does not apply. We remain responsible for losses caused by our breach that were reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, and for any broader responsibility required by local law. The Services are supplied for personal learning, not as a business-critical service.
14. Governing law and disputes
Subject to mandatory law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes may be brought in the competent courts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. This selection does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or any right to bring a claim in the courts of their home jurisdiction.
Please contact [email protected] with a description of a dispute so we can try to resolve it. Doing so is voluntary, does not delay a legal deadline, and is not a condition of obtaining urgent relief or using a legally available complaints process. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive class proceedings, collective redress, or a jury trial.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms for a legal, security, or operational reason, and will update the date above. We will give at least 30 days’ advance notice of a material change through an appropriate in-app notice, email where available, or another effective channel, unless law or an urgent security issue requires a shorter period. We will explain when the change takes effect and obtain fresh acceptance where required.
Changes do not apply retroactively to an existing dispute or take away accrued rights. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the affected Services and cancel renewal. For an existing paid period, we will honor the agreed terms or provide any cancellation and refund remedy required by applicable law. A changed Privacy Policy cannot by itself supply a consent that law requires us to obtain.
16. General provisions
These Terms and the applicable offer describe our agreement for the Services, without displacing mandatory pre-contract information, store terms, component licenses, or legal rights. The Privacy Policy explains data handling; it is not a blanket consent to every processing activity.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues only where it can fairly and lawfully do so. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. We may transfer this agreement in a business reorganization or sale only without reducing your contractual or statutory rights, and will notify you as required. Apart from Section 17 and rights required by law, these Terms do not give enforcement rights to someone who is not a party.
17. Additional Apple App Store terms
For a beta obtained through TestFlight, the Apple TestFlight Terms of Service also apply, including the limited beta-testing license. These Terms do not replace those terms.
For an App obtained through Apple’s App Store, the Apple Standard EULA governs the App license and prevails over conflicting provisions here. These Terms supplement that license only to the extent compatible; they are not a custom App Store EULA. The following provisions apply to Apple-specific matters.
You and we agree that our agreement is with each other, not Apple. The operator identified in Section 1 alone is responsible for the App and its content. The Apple license is non-transferable and limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to authorized Family Sharing, volume purchasing, and Legacy Contacts. Applicable Apple usage rules, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Volume Content Terms where relevant, remain controlling.
We alone provide the maintenance and support required by these Terms or law; Apple need not provide either. We are responsible for applicable warranties not lawfully disclaimed. If the App breaches an applicable warranty, notify Apple and Apple will refund its purchase price. To the extent law permits, Apple owes no further warranty duties, and we alone bear the remaining warranty-related claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses.
We, rather than Apple, handle your or another party’s claims about the App or its possession or use, including product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, and privacy claims. For a third-party intellectual-property infringement allegation concerning the App or your possession or use of it, we alone must investigate, defend, settle, and resolve the claim.
You represent that you are neither in a region embargoed by the U.S. Government or designated by it as supporting terrorism, nor on a U.S. prohibited- or restricted-party list. You must comply with applicable third-party agreements when using the App. Direct service questions and complaints to [email protected], and legal notices or claims to [email protected]. Our mailing address is in Section 1.
You and we recognize Apple and its subsidiaries as third-party beneficiaries of this Section 17. When you accept it, Apple may enforce it against you in that capacity and is regarded as having accepted that right. No provision limits our liability beyond what law permits.
18. Additional Google Play terms
This section applies only to an App obtained through Google Play; it does not describe the direct Android beta download from our website.
For an App obtained through Google Play, this agreement is between you and us, not Google. Google has no duties or liability under this agreement, without affecting its separate obligations under law or its own terms. Google Play’s terms apply to your store relationship.
Nothing here reduces license or family-sharing rights that Google Play requires us to provide. If this EULA conflicts with a controlling provision of the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement, that provision prevails to the extent applicable. Questions about the App should be directed to the contact details in Section 1.
